Departure with your guide for a guided tour of Marrakech’s monuments:

Visit of the Bahia Palace, renowned for the richness of its architecture. Its construction dates back to the 19th century and was inspired by Arab and Andalusian styles.
The foundations of the palace appeared in 1880 at the request of the vizier Sidi Moussa, who was at the head of the Moroccan kingdom. He wished to build a luxurious residence for the pleasure of one of his companions. He therefore offered a palace composed of around 160 rooms! This would explain the name of the monument meaning “Palace of the Beautiful”…

Visit of the El Badi Palace, an architectural complex built at the end of the 16th century. This former palace was built by the Saadian Sultan Ahmed al-Mansur Dahbi to celebrate the victory over the Portuguese army in 1578 during the Battle of the Three Kings. Today, only a vast esplanade remains, dug out with gardens planted with orange trees and surrounded by high walls.
Visit of the Saadian Tombs, the only remaining vestiges of the Saadian dynasty, which reigned from 1524 to 1659. They house the tombs of the Saadian royal family.

Then a walk to the Koutoubia, an emblematic religious monument, remodeled by the Almohads from 1162 onward. They built a sober and austere mosque near the former booksellers’ souk, from which comes the name Koutoubia, meaning the “Mosque of the Booksellers.”

Then visit the Majorelle Gardens, designed by the painter Jacques Majorelle in 1917. He created this garden around his workshop.
It is a living work of art, composed of exotic plants and rare species: cacti, yuccas, water lilies, lotuses, jasmines, bougainvillea, palm trees, coconut trees, banana trees, bamboo…
Visit of the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, located near the famous Majorelle Garden. The museum houses part of the “Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent” collection, which includes haute couture garments and accessories, as well as drawings and various objects, showcased in an exhibition space.

The Menara Gardens, a vast orchard and olive groves built during the Almohad dynasty. The pavilion and the basin are located at the center of the garden. It was designed as a reservoir to irrigate nearby agricultural land, olive groves, and orange groves.
In the late afternoon, stroll through the souks and the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square, listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Dinner at the Chez Ali restaurant in a folkloric atmosphere.
