Depart with your guide for a day of guided visits of the major monuments in Marrakech
Visit the Bahia Palace recognized for its grand architecture, it was built in the 19th century, and was inspired by both Arab and Andalusian styles.
The palace’s foundation began in 1880 under orders from Vizir Sidi Moussa, then head of the Moroccan kingdom. He wanted a luxury resort to please one of his lovers, he thus presented her with a palace containing about 160 rooms, this must explain the nickname given to the structure, « The Palace of the Beauty ».
Visit the El Badi Palace built at the end of the 16th century, this ancient palace was commissioned by the sultan Ahmed al-Mansur Dahbi to celebrate his victory against the Portuguese army, in 1578, in the Battle of the Three Kings. Today, what remains is an immense esplanade of dug-in gardens, orange trees, surrounded by high walls.
Visit of the Saadi Ruins the only remaining vestiges of the Saadi dynasty, which reigned between 1524 and 1659, they house the tombs of the Saadi royal family.
Walk to the Koutoubia a religious landmark; it was restored by the Almohades beginning in 1162, a bare-bones mosque built near the old souks of librarians, where the moniker « Koutoubia » (mosque of the librarians) originates.

Late afternoon, walk around the souks and the famous Djamel El-Fna square, a landmark in the heart of the city. In 2001, “the cultural space of Jmaa El Fna” was designated by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, a meeting point for people of the desert and mountains.

Visit the Majorelle Gardens, conceived by the painter Jacques Majorelle in 1917. He created this garden around his workshop. This is a living work of art, full of exotic and rare plants: cacti, lilipads, varieties of jasmins, bougainvillea, palms, coconut and banana trees, etc.
Visit the Yves Saint Laurent museum, located near the gardens. The museum houses part of the « Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent » collection, which includes hight fashion clothes and accessories, as well as designs and various objects, prominently displayed as an exhibit.
Free time for lunch
Visit the garden of Menarais an extensive garden planted with olive trees, built during the Almohade dynasty. In the center of the garden a basin was built adjacent to a pavilion. It was designed as a reservoir to irrigate nearby agricultural lands and olive and orange groves.

4th day: Marrakech – Béni Mellal – Ifrane –Fès (500 km / 7h30) –(B) (D)
Breakfast, then leave for Fez, via the cedar road and Mid-Atlas.
Passage through Béni Mellal, a city close to the Atlas and its national parks, Kasbah Tadla.
Walk through the city of Azrou. This town is located at 200 meters’ altitude and its name lends to its rocky outcrop. Bordered by a beautiful cedar forest, we will stop to admire the monkeys which inhabit it. It also features an authentic medina.
Continuing towards Ifrane, this Mid-Atlas town is characterized by its European urbanism. Located in the mountains, it is an oasis of water sources and greenery: lakes, fountains, etc.

5th day: Visit of Fez –(B) (D)

A day of guided visit of the most ancient imperial city, and the religious capital of Morocco: Fez.
Visit of the Medersas Bou Anania, a name meaning « school ».This is an Islamic university. The Marinid sultan Marinid Abou Inane commissioned it in 1350. The Medera is one of the buildings dedicated to teaching Islamic Sciences.
Visit of the Médersa el-Attarine built in 1320, of modest size, to accomodate approximately 60 students at a time, known as the most ornate in the city.
And visit of the Qarawiyyin Mosque, built in 859, one of the oldest universities in the world. Its limited dimensions, coupled with its artistic architecture give it a feel of being a true gem, sculpted in the finest of detail
Visit of the Foundouk Nejjarine, built in the eighteenth century during the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismail. Originally, this magnificent building was designed as a warehouse of goods and trading. The foundouk also used as a warehouse for the valuables belonging to the Makhzen.

The afternoon will take you to the visit of the Royal palace and the newer part of Fez, called Fez El jadid (new city).
